What Qualifies You to Write a Book?
I can vividly remember when my friend asked me to write a book on his behalf. I immediately dismissed the idea, telling him, “I’ve never written a book and I’m certainly no authority on that particular topic!” But then my friend pointed out all the curriculum and articles I had written and urged me to give it a try.
Now, having written over 20 books, I can hardly wait to finish writing and publishing my next book! And you know what? That friend who urged me to write his book for him has now written three books himself! I simply showed him what I did and coached him through the process.
You don’t have to have a degree in journalism to write a book. In fact, you don’t need any kind of degree! What you do need is a compelling story to tell, a unique skill or experience, and a strong desire to share your story, skill, or experience with others.
So, don’t let any naysayers keep you from embarking on this adventure. Go for it! And if you need help along the way, I’ll be happy to help.
